Trying to draw an old man

This was a lot harder than I first thought it would be. I still have a lot of work to do on his hood. I know I have the angle a bit wrong but right now I am working on drawing faster. This only took me a few hours, which is huge for me, usually it takes me months to get this far.
His facial hair has taken some thought. I have never had to draw something like that before so that will take some figuring it. After this attempt I may come back at this one later to do it really well and keep it in my collection because I love his eyes and expression.

This one is a bit further along...I still have a lot of the hood to do and his facial hair...then when I get to his hand...Hmmm, I have never done a hand before, so we will see....

Finally finally finally finished

Yes, it took forever. I just haven't had the time to sit down and do this, but finally I have finished. Of course I see a million things wrong with it but I think that is just how it is. Sorry Pennie, it will be in the mail to you soon.

BAD NEWS!!!

Well, one day last week....Hannah and Nora broke into my room and DESTROYED my drawing. Yes, Pennie...I am so sorry but it is beyond repair, I did try to fix it and Kevin would tell you the same. SO again for the 5th time, I am starting over and I will go as quick as I can to get this to you. I am sorry it has taken me SO long...this whole fur thing is very new to me, ya know? Kay, I will post soon with progress on the new cat.

Some progress

Well, Kevin fell asleep really early last night so I had plenty of time to draw. Any pointers from all my artist friends/family are welcome.

FINALLY, huh?

I know, I know...it has taken me forever to post on this blog, BUT...I will do better, well I am going to try to anyway. Well, I know it doesn't seem like I have made it very far on the cat, BUT this is my 4th drawing of this! When we went on vacation--Kevin's aunt Pennie gave me a great picture and even though she begged me to not start over and just get it done--sorry Pennie, but I HAD TO! My paper was just so 'tired' and I couldn't think of making any more changes on him. This new paper feels much better and I will get it done--don't you worry. I am really trying to capture his expression. He has a very thin face and I am trying to get the direction his eyes are looking as well as they tilt of his head and that has been the difficult part, but I am determined and I will finish it.
